What is IT staff augmentation?
IT staff augmentation is a way to add engineers, designers or QA specialists to your existing team without hiring them as employees. The people work under your direction, in your tools and your sprint cadence, while SyncScrum handles recruitment, contracts, payroll and replacement. You keep control of the product, the priorities and the code.
How is staff augmentation different from outsourcing a project?
With outsourcing you hand over a scope and receive a delivered result, and the vendor manages the work. With staff augmentation you manage the work yourself: the augmented engineers are part of your team and follow your process. Staff augmentation suits teams that already have technical leadership and want more capacity; outsourcing suits teams that want a result without running delivery.
Which roles can SyncScrum provide?

How do augmented engineers integrate with our team?
They use your repositories, issue tracker, chat and CI, attend your standups and planning sessions, and follow your code review and definition-of-done standards. Your technical lead directs their day-to-day work. SyncScrum stays involved through a single point of contact for staffing, performance and administration.
How quickly can we start?
It depends on the role and the stack. After a requirements call we share profiles, you interview the people you like, and onboarding starts once you approve. We do not publish a fixed start time because it varies by role; we will give you a realistic estimate on the first call.
Can we scale the team up or down?
Yes. Adding a role, reducing headcount or swapping a skill set is handled with notice rather than a renegotiated contract. Engagements run on a rolling basis so the team size can follow your roadmap.
Who owns the code and IP?
You do. Work produced by augmented engineers is your intellectual property, and it lives in your repositories from the first commit. Confidentiality and IP assignment are covered in the agreement.
What time zone does the team work in?
SyncScrum's engineering team is based in Lahore, Pakistan (UTC+5). That gives a full-day overlap with the Middle East, a large overlap with UK and European working hours, and a morning overlap with North America. We agree core overlap hours with each client at the start of the engagement.
